Dental Surgeries

Knock Dental Surgery

222 Knock Rd, Castlereagh, Belfast BT6 9NX, UK – 028 9040 1851

Marie Johnston is an experienced dentist with a gentle and professional manner. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. She explains everything in detail and takes great care with her work. She guided me on preventive dental care and helped me to understand more about oral hygiene. I would definitely recommend.

Elite Dental Practice

246-248 Ravenhill Rd, Belfast BT6 8GJ, UK – 028 9045 9696

I have been attending this practice for years and always receive an excellent service. I am a nervous patient and Dr Fartash is very reassuring and takes the time to go through everything with me. I am astonished at previous reviews as anytime I have attended the practice there is always a range of nationalities present and everyone is treated equally, there have been times were I have had to wait but never too long but there has also been times were I been seen before my appointment time if I turn up early. Overall I cannot fault the service provided.

about 2 months ago I had 3 crowns and 5 veneers in the front top teeth. The work was pain free, a little uncomfortable with a 2 and half hour procedure but thats to be expected when you want the final outcome. When I first saw my new teeth I was not over the moon at first (asyou see on telly) it took me a few days to get used to the different teeth, but after that I love them and am really glad I chose this dentist. i trusted her from the beginning and felt reassured that I would not be dissapointed. I didn't want pure white teeth on show and opted for a more natural look, which is what I got. I would love the bottom done but will have to wait until the interest free loan is paid off in a years time!

What a night at the first daughters meeting. I have come away with total freedom, peace & release! From the worship, talk & prayer - loved every moment of it & can't wait to come back soon!

Man & Van Belfast

Grove St E, Belfast BT5 5GG, UK – 07763 653563

Really professional service, arrived early and worked non stop. James and team really pleasant to deal with and took the hassle out of the moving process. Really helpful and worked to reasonable rates, no hesitation in recommending or using again.

We needed some items moved from house to house and I didn't know who to ask. Contacted these guys due to favourable reviews and very glad I did. 5 Stars well earned - arrived at pickup dead on time and delivery was perfect. Jamie and his colleague were a pleasure to deal with and we will hire again. Very highly recommended!!

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Belfast

Olivers Restaurant

Just had coffee and desserts but boy were they good. Staff very pleasant. A return visit a must to try some dinner.

Acapulco Restaurant

255 Newtownards Rd, Belfast BT4 3JF, UK – 028 9029 6400

Great little Mexican restaurant in Belfast. Definitely worth a visit. Food seemed really fresh with clean presentation. Restaurant itself has a nice feel to it, a mix of contemporary style with Mexican accents with painted chairs and Mexican music playing. Prices are very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given popcorn to nibble in as we waited for out our food. First time I had popcorn with a Mexican spice on it, but it really worked! Something I'll be trying at home. We had the lunch menu, which has a good selection of simple and well thought out dishes and not overwhelming. The dinner menu looks more exciting however. I had the 'special', which was steak skewers. Only criticism was that while the steak was well cooked and seasoned, it wasn't very spicy, which I was expecting in a Mexican restaurant. After asking our server for sauces, however, he brought us 3 very different and tasty house sauces to try, which dramatically improved the dish. Ask for those! Good for families. Will return again some time.

Love this place. Great food, festive decor, child friendly (though we've only brought our kids early in the evening at 5ish) and the margaritas are out of this world!

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Belfast

158 Holywood Rd, Belfast BT4 1PB, UK – 028 9065 6520

Food was very good, staff were friendly and courteous however, men's toilet had one urinal missing, only one hand pump soap dispenser and only 2 of the three available handbasins had a tap that worked.

Perfect father's Day meal. Really enjoyed. Will go back

Nursery and Preschools

Ravenscroft Nursery School

Ravenscroft Ave, Belfast BT5 5BA, UK – 028 9047 1684

Both sons attended Ravenscroft and took their first steps into education, social ability and guided fun. Whilst five years apart, the ambience of the nursery remained. The fears of every parent are soon dispelled as reassurance for the children and parents is highly promoted. The urge to hide behind 'mummmy' soon is diminished as welcoming staff relax all and with bright surroundings, toys a plenty and freedom to roam and learn, at this point parents reminisce about youth and realise that memories are created within the walls of the nursery. Staff accept all children and acknowledge that they are individual with a unique personality which is allowed to develop, correctly and not according to the beliefs of an out-dated manual. Everything is right, the interior, the exterior, the location and most importantly the attitude. Memories are made and my two boys are strong, mannered and free-thinking, thanks to the excellent staff of Ravenscroft and magic their formula. Thank you Ravenscroft 😁

Our son was pupil there. Nice and clean place.

Bloomfield Collegiate School

Astoria Gardens, Belfast BT5 6HW, UK – 028 9047 1214

I think this school is perfect. The buildings and the facilities are at a good standard. The school is regularly cleaned and it have very good technology for those who are interested in taking a career in it. The work is challenging but levelled to your abilities and there are many career choices for young girls to make the most of their future. The school fees are at a good price and go to good uses around the school. I won't want to be at any other school and i recommend all girls to make the most to get in here!

Absolutely loved my time at this school, I met my lifelong friends here and all of the teachers are so caring and really care about how their pupils do education wise but also how they develop into good citizens.

Strathearn School

188 Belmont Rd, Belfast BT4 2AU, UK – 028 9047 1595

I’m a 3rd year at Strathearn: lovely teachers, good food, beautiful school building. However, with no winter exams, there is a lot riding on the Summer ones and tests throughout the year. The school (or at least my year) has a very high average score and in 2017 came 4th in all of NI and 39th in the UK for GCSE scores.

My Daughters thoroughly enjoy coming to this school. They find it engaging and fun, with pleasant staff and good facilities.
